Everyone is welcome…

No one should be left out of the family table:

According to the Food Research and Action Center, there is a major issue with food insecurity in the LGBTQ community.

Fact: Many LGBTQ people struggle to survive, and factors like employment discrimination and family rejection can put people more at risk. Even in communities with strong non-discrimination laws, LGBTQ people, particularly transgender individuals, still face higher rates of poverty than the general public.

Fact: I always had a mother to call when I needed to figure out what was going on in my kitchen, how to budget for food, and how to cook on a budget. But for many LGBTQ individuals are forced out of their homes once they “come out”. Cutting off the guidance parents can give. Sadly, no family meals to gather together.

I vow to make a difference at my table, your table, the world’s table. Join me at my table, no judgment, just love from Mama Bear, light-hearted food, fun, and embracing all the colors of the rainbow.
